In response to the uptick in the global market, gold prices witnessed a notable surge in Pakistan. Local markets observed a significant rise, with the price per tola reaching Rs243,800, marking a single-day increase of Rs4,600.
According to data provided by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the 10-gram gold saw a corresponding increase, reaching Rs209,019 following a gain of Rs3,944.
This surge comes after a brief period of stagnation, where on Thursday, the price per tola remained steady at Rs239,200, following two consecutive days of decline.
Internationally, the price of gold experienced a notable increase. APGJSA reported a rate of $2,366 per ounce, with an additional premium of $20, marking a daily gain of $54.
In tandem with gold, silver rates also witnessed an upward trend, rising by Rs30 to settle at Rs2,650 per tola.
Notably, last month saw gold achieving a historic milestone, reaching an all-time high of Rs252,200 per tola in the local market.
