Shah Rukh Khan seeks emergency treatment

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is set to undergo urgent medical treatment in the United States after a recent eye procedure in Mumbai faced complications.

The 58-year-old actor visited a Mumbai hospital on Monday, July 29, for eye treatment, but unforeseen issues necessitated further medical attention abroad.

A source close to the actor disclosed, “Shah Rukh Khan had gone to a hospital in Mumbai on Monday for an eye treatment. The treatment didn’t go as planned. SRK is now being rushed to the USA to rectify the damage.” Details about the initial treatment and its complications remain undisclosed.

This development follows an earlier health scare for Khan, who suffered a heat stroke on May 21 while attending an IPL match in Ahmedabad. He was hospitalised at KD Hospital in Ahmedabad due to severe dehydration and was discharged the following day.

During his hospitalisation in Ahmedabad, Khan’s wife Gauri Khan and long-time friend and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) co-owner Juhi Chawla visited him. In a subsequent interview, Chawla reassured fans that Khan was recovering well.

Shah Rukh Khan, popularly known as the ‘King of Bollywood’, was last seen in the film “Dunki” (2023) and is reportedly working on Sujoy Ghosh’s upcoming project “King.”

Fans and colleagues in the film industry have expressed their concern over Khan’s recent health issues. As the actor prepares to fly to the US for urgent medical assistance, his well-wishers are hopeful for a swift and complete recovery.
