The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced a bank holiday on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, in observance of the country’s Independence Day.
All branches of the SBP, including its regional offices, as well as public sector and private banks, along with financial institutions across the country, will remain closed on this date
According to a press release issued by the SBP on Thursday, the closure is in line with the government’s declaration of a public holiday to mark Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day. Routine banking operations will resume on Thursday, August 15, 2024.
The SBP’s notification serves as a reminder for citizens and businesses to plan their banking transactions accordingly to avoid any inconvenience during the holiday.
