Doha: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif looked a jovial man on what seems to be a more auspicious future for Pak-Qatar ties while arriving here on a visit ahead of a meeting with Prime Minister of Qatar, Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani whom he stressed has deep cooperation based friendships. He made an optimistic hope that mutual and significant benefits are reached through both their own modes.
During the constructive talks, leaders opened the door to enhancing trade cooperation, investment, energy exchange, and cultural cooperation. The Prime Minister of Pakistan acknowledged Qatar‘s input towards economic growth in the country, thanking them for all the support and hospitality rendered to the millions of Pakistanis living in Qatar. The Qatari Prime Minister appreciated Pakistan’s role in the region‘s geostrategic positioning and wished to strengthen the cooperation that suits Qatar‘s vision on its economic strategy.
Both leaders talked about regional and global issues, focusing on peaceful solutions through cooperation. Shehbaz Sharif appreciated Qatar‘s humanitarian stance and its diplomatic efforts in the Gaza conflict, realizing Qatar‘s commitment to promoting peace in the Middle East.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan invited Qatari investors, stating that there are diverse sectors such as agriculture, IT, and tourism; assured a friendly environment for foreign investments; and agreed on maintaining high-level exchange so that the two countries achieve mutual understanding and growth.
