Impact of Internet Issues on Freelancers:
Peshawar: Freelancers face severe challenges in Pakistan, especially in Peshawar, due to mobile services suspension and internet speed reduced to its slowest pace. International projects are at a standstill, jeopardizing their source of livelihood.
For weeks now, internet slowdowns have been tormenting the nerves of citizens in Pakistan. According to Waleed Paracha, a digital expert in Peshawar, these issues with the network affect something like 70% of employment in the region.
Most direct complaints by young freelancers include a daily loss in the number of their clients due to this persistent internet shutdown. This situation is increasingly frustrating their chances of fulfilling deadlines on projects and thus losing good relationships with transnational clients.
Experts warn that extended slow internet speeds may lead to millions in economic losses and are urging the government to take immediate action to address the connectivity crisis.
