NCP Leader Baba Siddique Gunned Down in Mumbai: Investigation Underway

Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister and a well-known leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), was shot and killed in Mumbai. According to reports, he was attacked by three gunmen on motorcycles in Bandra West.

Siddique, a three-time MLA, was rushed to Lilavati Hospital but sadly died from his injuries.

He had recently switched from the Indian National Congress to Ajit Pawar’s faction of the NCP. Siddique was famous not only in politics but also among Bollywood stars, hosting popular annual Ramadan Iftar parties attended by celebrities like Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. He played a key role in bringing the two stars back together after a feud.

Authorities are investigating the incident and looking into possible involvement from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, as Siddique had close ties to Salman Khan, who had previously faced threats from the gang. There are also reports of a dispute over a Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) project, which could be linked to the shooting.

Investigators are working hard to find those responsible for this shocking crime, which has sent waves of concern through both the political and entertainment communities.
