Jimmy Donaldson, better known by his online alias MrBeast, has officially become the most subscribed YouTuber on the platform, amassing over 268 million subscribers.
The 26-year-old content creator marked this extraordinary achievement with a jubilant post on his social media platforms, expressing his gratitude and excitement.
MrBeast took to his X account, formerly known as Twitter, to celebrate the occasion. “After 6 years we have finally avenged PewDiePie,” he wrote, referencing the famed Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie’s past rivalry with T-Series. This milestone is particularly significant as PewDiePie, despite his enormous popularity, was unable to surpass T-Series to become the most subscribed channel.
Earlier in the week, MrBeast shared insights into his journey and aspirations during a conversation with Jon Youshaei. Reflecting on PewDiePie’s battle with T-Series, he mentioned, “I got a little ‘this country versus that country’. I don’t think Felix took it there, but it even got a little racist in the sub war before. So, I’m very cognizant of it, which is why I’m not leaning into it too hard.”
MrBeast further emphasized his passion for content creation and his desire to be the most subscribed-to channel, stating, “I just want to be the most subscribed-to channel. Yes, I have a lot of people helping me, but at the end of the day, I started this channel. I live and breathe this. I am a creator.”
