Kazakhstan Ranks Globally for Visa-Free Travel Opportunities

Kazakhstan advanced its position to rank 54th among 199 countries in global mobility rankings, where citizens now enjoy visa-free access to 41 destinations. With a mobility score of 94, Kazakh travelers increasingly can visit an increasing number of visa-free or visa-on-arrival countries, which is an important indicator for the nation’s increase in exposure to international travel opportunities.

In the last ten years, Kazakhstan expanded its visa-free access by opening up access to more than 30 destinations. Six agreements are also in queue. According to the tourism and sports ministry of the country, 81 countries provide either visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to any citizen of Kazakhstan.

While it’s a good time for friends, family, and corporate trips, other visa-free arrangements are available with Georgia for one year of visa-free residency, Armenia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines up to 180 days, Russia, Türkiye and Mongolia for stays up to 90 days, etc. In more destinations like Hong Kong, Iran, or Oman: visa-free stay is up to 14 days.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is now offering more opportunities and, among other things, conducting discussions on the relaxing of requirements concerning visa with the European Union and improving processing time and lowering the fees.
