Karachi – The gold rate decreased for the second consecutive day in Pakistan today. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), gold rate for 24-karats per tola declined by Rs800 to reach Rs282,300, while the price of 10-gram gold went down by Rs686, and the new price for this particular gold is Rs242,027.
The decline comes after Thursday’s huge plunge, when the gold rates plummeted to Rs2,300 per tola to settle at Rs283,100. On Wednesday, the precious metal had breached all-time highs to touch a record Rs285,400 per tola in increased demand due to economic uncertainties and global tensions.
In the global market, too, the gold prices declined. In the international market, the rate per ounce declined by $8 to $2,726 along with a premium of $20.
Meanwhile, silver in Pakistan remained stable at the level of Rs 3,350 per tola with no setback this time because of what happened to gold.
These shifts reflect ongoing volatility in both local and global markets as investors remain cautious amid fluctuating economic conditions.
