Gold prices in Pakistan remained stable on Thursday, with the precious metal holding steady in the international market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold stood unchanged at Rs255,500 per tola in the local market. The price of 10 grams of gold was recorded at Rs219,050.
This comes after a slight decline in gold prices on Wednesday, where the rate per tola dropped by Rs500. Despite this fluctuation, the market has remained relatively calm, reflecting the steady trend seen in global markets.
The international price of gold also remained stable on Thursday, with the rate holding at $2,393 per ounce, including a premium of $20, as reported by the APGJSA.
In the silver market, prices remained unchanged at Rs2,850 per tola, mirroring the stability seen in gold.
Last week, gold prices in Pakistan reached an all-time high, with the per tola rate surging by Rs2,400 to hit Rs257,300. This sharp increase was driven by fluctuations in the international market and local demand dynamics.
