Gold prices in Pakistan saw a notable increase on Monday, following a rise in international rates. In the local market, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs200, reaching Rs275,700.
For those purchasing in smaller quantities, the price for 10 grams of gold was set at Rs236,368, reflecting an increase of Rs171, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). On Saturday, the price per tola had already surged by Rs1,600, closing at Rs275,500.
Internationally, gold prices also climbed on Monday, with rates hitting $2,659 per ounce (plus a $20 premium), marking a $3 increase throughout the day.
In contrast, silver prices remained steady at Rs3,050 per tola.
Last month, gold prices peaked at a record high of Rs277,000 per tola in Pakistan, highlighting the ongoing volatility in the precious metals market.
