This vibrant festival, one of the largest Hindu celebrations, sees homes adorned with beautiful flowers, intricate rangolis, twinkling lights, and traditional diyas.
As families come together to celebrate Diwali and the triumph of light over darkness, the streets are filled with joy and festivity. The rich traditions associated with Diwali, including prayers, feasting, and cultural gatherings, highlight the unity and spirit of the Hindu community in Pakistan.

A vibrant Diwali celebration took place at the Sindh Governor House on Thursday night, drawing a large crowd from the Hindu community, along with international artists in the city for the World Cultural Festival, consuls general from various countries, and gold medalist Ramiz Ibrahim, renowned for his victory at the Mr. Universe competition.
During the festivities, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori cut a cake with representatives from the Hindu community, marking the occasion with a spectacular fireworks display that illuminated the night sky.
In his address to the attendees, Governor Tessori emphasized the significance of Diwali as an internationally celebrated festival symbolizing joy, love, and happiness for the Hindu community. He congratulated everyone on the occasion, stating, “Pakistan is a bouquet; we all are its beautiful flowers, and this bouquet will always be fragrant.”
Highlighting the importance of minority rights, he affirmed that all citizens, regardless of their religion, hold equal status in Pakistan. “No discrimination will be allowed based on religion,” he asserted, praising the Hindu community for their contributions to national development.
The ceremony also included Governor Tessori presenting a gold medal to Ramiz Ibrahim, along with traditional gifts such as a shawl and a Jinnah cap to all international artists participating in the festival. Ramiz Ibrahim dedicated his gold medal to the Governor, expressing his gratitude for the support and motivation provided by Tessori.
