Understanding Prize Bonds in Pakistan
Prize Bonds are a popular form of investment in Pakistan, administered by the National Savings
Division. Unlike traditional savings schemes, Prize Bonds do not offer interest; instead, they provide
holders the opportunity to win substantial cash prizes through quarterly draws. These draws are
overseen by a deartment operating under the State Bank of Pakistan.
By purchasing Prize Bonds, individuals are, in effect, lending money to the government. This system
allows the government to secure funds while providing citizens with a chance to win life-changing
sums of money.
